Looking for Love asks:

What are some good places to meet significant others? Besides a typical bar environment. I am thinking aboutyellbut.gif someone who will be seeking a more serious relationship?

Alicia Answers:

Slow down!

First of all, you don't meet "significant others" you have to make them.  The only way to meet someone that you like and would want to pursue a relationship with is by meeting a lot of people most of whom you won't like.

I know how hard it is to meet people.  I am very outgoing and have been out of college for only a year, and my social circle has gotten almost chokingly small.  Sometimes its just hard to get the motivation after a long day at work to not slip into that old pair of sweats and  watch tv.  But you can't meet anyone in your livingroom for less than $2.99 a minute, so its time to evaluate other options.

If I were looking for people to meet, (and thankfully I am off the market) I would go where people are who like to do the things I do hang ou

It's not so easy

treaderTF.gif unfortunately Vegas is 6 hours away from me so meeting smoking, drinking, stay-up-all-nighters can be more challenging.  Okay, I'm kidding, but there are so many fun things to do no matter where you live.  I highly recommend some activity that involves regular meetings, whether it's a night class of something you've always wanted to learn (remember Ghost?) or playing a sport you've never tried before. Or, just try something different instead of reading in bed at night, cruise to your local Starbuck's and make yourself a regular.

Obviously, you

you don't know what you're talking about

singletin2.gifneed to find activities that you already enjoy and be more proactive in getting out to do them a little more often.  And maybe while you're rollerblading for the first time you crash into someone that knows the person that has a cousin who is your perfect match.
