I agree because..

I was in a long relationship when I was 15 and didn't end it until I was almost 17.  I regret this now, because I feel I missed out on experiencing different relationships.  I did not love the guy I was with; I stayed with him because it seemed "easier" at the time.
If I had it to do over again, I would spend my "sweet sixteen" dating other people, so that I would have more experience with different kinds of people. When it came time to settle down with one guy, I would know what qualities I liked/disliked, instead of THINKING I knew.
