Howdy,
My name is Karrie and I am a 21 year old female. I am married
to a 40 year old man (yes, I know, huge age difference, but
love works magic sometimes!) We have been married for 1 year
and 2 months. We have a beautiful two month old baby girl.
I work part time and am going to school to become a cartoon
animator.
My husband and I met in an on-line chat room. He lived in
California, I in Missouri. After a while of talking on the
phone and via e-mail, I went out to meet him and wound up
falling in love and moving out to be with him. It's been "wonderful"
ever since. Of course, as all couples, we have our ups and
downs, but overall, it's great!
I have had several dating relationships but only one other
serious relationship. My previous boyfriend was a very bad
experience. He was a high school drop out, he drank, gambled,
didn't hold a job, and was very physically and emotionally
abusive. It took me a while to find all of this out; unfortunately,
I had to go through quite a bit before HE knocked some sense
into me. I tried to leave him several times but he would promise
to change, threaten suicide, and a number of other tactics
to try to get me to stay with him. Finally, I said enough
is enough and took my bruised heart (not to mention my bruised
arms) and left. It was painful, but my life has been sooo
wonderful since then.
The short version of my philosophy is this:
Don't ever date anyone you wouldn't consider marrying. And
don't ever mary someone you think you can live with, marry
someone you KNOW you can't live without.
Once married, love each other and put each other first. If
there is any selfinshness, the relationship won't work, but
if each is looking out for the other's best interest, everyone
is taken care of and happy.
I am a Christian, and my viewpoints reflect that. Keep in
mind, I will not be a "Bible thumper"-- in other
words, I don't believe in forcing my religion down other peoples
throats, but the teachings of the Bible would reflect in my
opinions and advice.
