Well, let's just say that I've lived and learned pertaining
to relationships!
I'm an extremely emotional person when it comes to the opposite
sex, and I have had to learn several ways to battle that personality
flaw. Yes, I've let numerous guys walk all over me, and like
a lot of women have let them because of the "needy"
attitude.
I've learned since then that it pulls a lot of pride out
of you to allow a man to do that. After the realtionship finally
ends, I felt emotionally drained and tired. So, one day I
decieded for myself and my self dignity to never allow myself
to be put in that situation again.
I am now in a wonderful realtionship with a man who cares
so much for me and vice versa!
I am a print journalism major at the University of South
Carolina. This year will be my senior year! (Thank god!) I
love writing and I feel as though I can really help people
out there who have that "emotional" vulnerability
like I had.
Perhaps maybe this oppurtunity to write to other people about
their problems might benefit me even further! The fact of
the matter is that I want to be here for other people. I feel
as though I owe it to them and myself !
Don't Hold on to Fantasies
My philosophy is "take realtionships for what they are."
What I mean by this is, don't hold on just because of some
fantasy or dream in your head, be grounded and know the realities
in which the realtionship lies. Prince Charming is certaintly
no where to be found yet! (and if he is.. I want his phone
number!) Also, take relationships SLOW. Too much romance too
fast will lead to a FAST breakup!
I feel as though I would add perhaps a different dimension
to advice. Maybe pulling some examples from my past experiences
to comfort that person. The advicee really needs to know that
they are not the only ones that have been through it!!!
