My friends call me Dear Abby and I can spot
a dead relationship at 50 paces (unless it involves myself...then
my powers are useless).
I've worked for 2 different area newspapers
in the past 2 years, and also have a few published works.
My Relationship
I prefer to be in a long-term relationship,
but, I just initiated a "break" from my fiancee
of 3 years because I felt like I didn't know who I was anymore.
I'm starting to really like the person I'm becoming, and actually
enjoy being by myself.
My Philosophy: Be True To Yourself
There's a great quote from a song that goes
something like "I believe that trust is more important
than monogamy" I believe that, above everything else...I
believe in staying true to yourself and there is no excuse
for abuse, of any kind (I learned those two the hard way).
My Point of View
I feel that I may have a younger perspective
than many of the panelist (I'm 20). I've been living in the
Real World since I was 17, so I feel I don't have a "bright-eyed,
love is blind" view...but I haven't been soured by too
many bad situations. I also coached high school cheerleading
for 2 years and helped many young girls (and all of my friends,
co-workers and family members) through the melodramatic roller
coaster ride that is pre-exquisite to finding "THE ONE".
I'm Pretty Happy
I'm pretty happy where I'm at in my life.
I purchased my own home at 19 and have been working (in writing
fields and otherwise) since I graduated from high school at
17. I also dabble in freelance work, both writing projects
and also graphic design.
I am currently working as a Customer Service
Representative for a statewide utility company, since, as
we all know, writing doesn't pay very well unless you're Stephen
King. I would like to be a full-time writer some day, but
I'm OK with keeping it as a hobby while I have bills to pay.
My
Fears
Fears...what fears? I am woman, hear me roar...well,
ok...I am afraid Ill never find "the Right One"or
end up with "the Creepy One" or "the Hairy
One"...But I'm young, so I'm not too worried about that
right now.
My Family
I have an older sister named Amanda, who lives
in Las Vegas, and has a lifestyle that makes me tired just
thinking about it. My brother, Trenton, is an artist and lives
at home, with my parents, Kim and Kris, who are actually still
married to each other. The small zoo-family I live with is
made up of 3 cats (William, Rossalyne and Max), a chinchilla
called Gert, a fish named Steve and my dog Codey.
Thanks again for selecting me!
