First of all, I'm from a small town in South Eastern Kentucky. It's
name really doesn't matter. Most of the towns from there are
the same...rather poor, rather nondescript , and lacking
in any real opportunity for young people.
Needless to say, I made tracks from there as soon as I was
able. I still live in Kentucky, but I am now a city-dweller.
I live in a town called Richmond...which is about roughly
thirty minutes away from Lexington, home of the University
Of Kentucky and Kentucky Wildcats basketball (the less
said about that subject after this dismal season, the better!).
I'm A Psychology Student
I have been many things during the course of my young life,
held quite a few jobs...among them a security guard and (briefly,
thank God) a coal miner. I have since gone to college where
I am trying to earn a degree in psychology, with an emphasis
on the study of criminals.
If that gives anyone pause, don't worry. I hate psycho babble.
It tends to generalize the complexities of human nature. People
are people and not statistics.
I'm Divorced, But I've Learned From The Experience
Relationships? I've had good ones, and bad ones like any
other person. I am recently divorced. My previous marriage
taught me a lot. First, the importance of communication, the
importance of honesty, the importance of not settling for
less when you are entitled to more, and how to deal with the
consequences of your decisions.
I
Believe In Love At First Sight
I am not world-weary or jaded when it comes to the subject
of love. I suppose I am something of a romantic, and
there is nothing wrong with that! I am even given over to
believing in love at first sight. Why not? We live in
a world where the supposedly impossible does happen.
Life experience has taught me, however, that love requires
a great deal of effort and hard work. It's not something to
enter into lightly.
My Goals? My main goal is to be the best human being I can
possibly be. Another goal is to always learn and grow. The
best goal is to never give up on yourself.
