Dear Panel,

What do I do? I am 16 and I am very attracted to someone significantly older than I am. And he treats me well, I've known him for ever, and well the only problem is he used to be the vice principal of my school and well he doesnt know that I am in love with him. Also, i recently went to visit him in another state and i wanted something to happen but nothing did.

My question is should I tell him I like him, considering the fact that i have liked him for over 4 years, or should I keep it to myself and forget about it? help me please....

It seems although you may feel strongly for this man, he may not feel the same way as you.

Why would he feel the same for her?

Since you haven't shared your feelings for him with him, he may not even expect it. To him, your relationship might only be a good friendship. Although this may not sound appealing to you, it may be the right way to go.

Age differences have always been a problem in relationships, and always a dispute. The feelings you have or think you have for this man may not be sincere, and maybe you think you love him because you want to. You are still at a young age where you can experience different relationships and mature more through each one. I believe that there is someone out there for everyone, and it may seem hard to believe, but he may not be the one.

My advice would be too keep looking, and you will be able to find someone even better for you, someone who is more reasonable, and someone that will be able to have and share the same feelings for you that you have for him.

When you are in a relationship where you do not know what the other half thinks about you in terms of loving, it's not a deep relationship, and sometimes getting into those kinds of relationships will only get you hurt. I hope everything works out for you, and that you are able to move on and enjoy experiencing your life, at your age.
