Dear Help-
I was watching this new Fox show last night, "Get Real",
and I was thinking how annoying the youngest brother
is because he's a raging hormone but he acts socially
retarded because he can't say what he really wants to
girls.

I was watching thinking that I completely don't relate
to the show, and I doubt if the show came out while
I was in high school that I would relate. I guess
I've never had the problem of not having anything to
say.
Now you ask this question and I have no methodology
or plan on how you should change to make yourself a
better conversationalist. What do you talk to
your guy friends about? What do you like to do?
Remember when you'd see your mom after school when you
were young? What did you have to say to her?
If you don't want to talk about yourself, try asking
them some questions. In all of my life experiences,
even times where I remember saying stupid things where
I felt like I wished I could take it back, I have never
seen anybody flat out walk away or laugh in anyone's
face, or reject a simple conversation. Don't
put pressure on yourself to initiate if you're not ready
to do so. It will all come natural in time.
