How do I get friend to love me?

Hope said:

Be patient

Reader Chris Responds:

The only problem with being patient is that patience tends to run out with time.

I myself find it VERY difficult to even find a woman to date (I'm a guy) because every single woman (and I do mean EVERY single woman) has in turn stomped my heart out of my chest.

I'm not a bad guy in the least.  I've been told by friends that I have everything a SANE woman is looking for:  looks, a future (I"m in the Navy going for a law degree) a good heart (I do stuff like volunteer for animal shelters and the like) and most of all COMMITMENT.  But it just seems that they are scared of commitment.

Patience Is Difficult

I think that "have patience" is an idea that looks good on paper, but it's very difficult to actually DO.  I waited for the "woman of my dreams" for eight years, didn't date anyone in that time to prove to her that what I felt for her was real – then right as I was about to tell her she marries someone else.  I know all about having patience.

There are guys out there who want to have someone not just someone to sleep with, but to BE with. I'm living proof of that.  Believe me, there is nothing I'd love more than to have a woman who is like you. So don't give up.

I Was Dumped for a Fake Ex

I myself have been feeling like "giving up" on women because like I said every single one has hurt me terribly (the latest and greatest pretended to like me and then dumped me at the last second for her ex-husband who actually wasn't her ex who was on a destroyer out near Japan).

Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll find someone.
