The Rut
It seems to me that most of the people I run accross are
so stuck in this "oh gosh I have to have somebody to feel
special" rut that they fail to realize that it is not absolutely
neccessary to have a boyfriend or girlfriend. You will not
die if you are not dating anyone. Most people simply do
not understand how that can be.
Dateless and Doing Well
I never had the luxury of dating anyone in my life
I'm 22 now and am on my way to an extemely successful career.
I was in the time where girls didn't like you if you looked
a little bit different. Not like the elephant man or anything...the
type of guy girls still thought were cute but when they
saw this jock [who turned out to be a jerk] they automatically
go for him).
My Paycheck Shuts Them Up
Some of the other guys I know think I'm pathetic because
I've never been on a date of course, when they look
at my paycheck compared to theirs, it usually shuts them
up.
They're still at the McDonalds raking in $6,000 a year
while I will be raking in over $60 GRAND a year as a 25-year-old.
Not a Disadvantage
By my lack of dating experience I was able to turn a disadvantage
(or what I thought at the time was a disadvantage) into
an advantage by concentrating on the more important things
in life like my future. Girls will come when the
time is right. They will fit into your future.
Girls? Who CARES?
My advice: don't be worried about it so much you're
only 16. If girls like you great. If not, WHO CARES??
There are two things you should dedicate yourself to:
- helping those you care about, and
- helping yourself.
Hang in there, man I've been in your place before.
With proper planning and prioritizing you will get better
I promise.
