What do girls really like?

Nick said:

I am a nice 16-year-old boy, but I don't have confidence in myself. The reason is because I have never had a girlfriend.

he reason is because I have never had a girlfriend.

The Rut

It seems to me that most of the people I run accross are so stuck in this "oh gosh I have to have somebody to feel special" rut that they fail to realize that it is not absolutely neccessary to have a boyfriend or girlfriend. You will not die if you are not dating anyone. Most people simply do not understand how that can be.

Dateless and Doing Well

I never had the luxury of dating anyone in my life – I'm 22 now and am on my way to an extemely successful career. I was in the time where girls didn't like you if you looked a little bit different. Not like the elephant man or anything...the type of guy girls still thought were cute but when they saw this jock [who turned out to be a jerk] they automatically go for him).

My Paycheck Shuts Them Up

Reader

Don't talk about how much money you have.

Some of the other guys I know think I'm pathetic because I've never been on a date – of course, when they look at my paycheck compared to theirs, it usually shuts them up.

Ben

Idiot. You are basing your happiness and feeling of self worth on how much money you are making a year.

They're still at the McDonalds raking in $6,000 a year while I will be raking in over $60 GRAND a year as a 25-year-old.

Not a Disadvantage

By my lack of dating experience I was able to turn a disadvantage (or what I thought at the time was a disadvantage) into an advantage by concentrating on the more important things in life – like my future. Girls will come when the time is right. They will fit into your future.

Girls? Who CARES?

My advice: don't be worried about it so much – you're only 16. If girls like you – great. If not, WHO CARES??

Yes, but he can help himself better by building some self-confidence!

There are two things you should dedicate yourself to:

  1. helping those you care about, and
  2. helping yourself.

Hang in there, man – I've been in your place before. With proper planning and prioritizing you will get better – I promise.
