How do I get over that I'm not fiancée's first?

After both of you receive God's forgiveness...

A Reader Responds:

I agree with Hope's dream of waiting until the wedding night. I myself have religious convictions, although lately I have fallen short of those requirements.

The idea of saving yourself until the wedding is a beautiful thing, but I also think about how many problems you will avoid by doing so. Diseases that you don't know your partner may have, unwanted pregnancy, etc.

I am dealing with a partner that in the past has cheated on me and now the thought of a STD scares the hell out of me. What pain I could have saved myself.

On a totally different note, Hope can suggest what she thinks you should do. I mean, the website is for unprofessional advice. But the way Hope put her sentence together was kinda harsh.

Not Everyone Is a Christian

What makes Hope think everyone she writes to is a Christian, with Christians beliefs? To receive God's forgiveness should be left to a whole other web site with the topic being " BEING A CHRISTIAN" .

As I said before I have religious beliefs that are similar to Hope's and I absolutely believe in what she says but not everyone feels that way and we can't assume that they do. I think most of the people with questions to you are looking for a regular relationship advice not a Bible study.
