Stereotyping Pornography

I think the reason that so many people find pornography objectionable is because of the overall stereotype that is has.

There is a legal difference between nudity and pornography.

Porn Is the Depiction of a Naked Person

Pornography is just a picture of a naked person. Think about it in its most simple terms. There is nothing trashy or wrong about being naked.

I disagree. God has designed the body not as a toy for someone else to look at.

And if a woman or man feels confident enough about their own self image to share it with the world, then more power to them!

What Society Has Been Taught

Our society has been taught from way back when that the body is not something to enjoy, revere or honor. Sex can be cheap, sex can be dirty and therefore it must mean that enjoying looking at a naked person is dirty also.

Clothing or Nudity

If you can look at a man or woman fully dressed and appreciate what you see, where is the difference if you are looking at a magazine or a picture and the same person is nude? If they feel comfortable enough to share their body, who are we to say it's bad or wrong?

Admiring the Physical

If can you honestly say that you have NEVER looked at a member of the opposite sex, dressed or not, and not thought about their body or how good they looked...then sure, I can understand having a problem with this. But at some time, most of us have admired someone else physically. Whether they were wearing a bathing suit, a formal outfit, jeans, or nothing, it shouldn't matter. The point is that the human body can be beautiful - and there is nothing wrong with enjoying it or believing in that.
