I disagree because after 4 years of a realtionship when another suddenly turns around and suddenly starts asking these questions, something is definately wrong.

Maybe if it was the case of the relationship being new and they were both exploring one anothers interests but it doesn't matter how long two are together, if both seriously love one another then they should be unconditionally faithful.

In my view he is testing her to see if there would be any chace that he could get away from it and she should ask him directly if this is his intentions.
