Do platonic guy-girl relationships exist?

Hope said:

I once believed that there was such as thing as a strictly platonic opposite sex friendship.

A Reader Responds:

First of the concept of a platonic relation suxs.

People basically use this term to hide their actual feelings for the person.

In a friendship, wherein there is all to share and nothing to hide, it is impossible not to get attracted or develop a feeling of understanding, caring, empathy, love and respect. And when all these blend together, is it less than having him/her as your soul mate?

A platonic relation can be defiend as "A relationship where a person 'loves' the other but is not 'in love' with that person".
