A 14-year old asks: Should I pursue a married man?

A Guest Answers:

Dear Young Singapore Homewrecker,

I do not know if your culture is different from mine, so I will try to answer yours as best I can.  First off, I am 15 and I know what its like to have crushes, but do you really want to break up a marriage because of these feelings you are having?  I don't know if it is common to get married so young in Singapore, but at your age, there are many more possibilities than that one guy, who also is married.  How old is that guy you like?  If he is far older then you are, I think it'd be best to let it go.

I understand that you don't want to be a homewrecker, so don't be.

She shouldn't even be his friend, he is preying on her.

Da Latin Queen It sounds like this guy is unhappy and you should be a friend to him. Let him decide what is best for his life.  It's really him and his wife's desicion to seperate.  If they are as young as you are, they have a better chance of splitting up anyway.

You're right. He and his wife sound like they have bigger problems within their marriage.

So, what I think you should do, is let him decide what he wants to do, and do not force him into leaving his wife.  You are young and will have many guys in your life.  This may just be a teen crush. You need to be a friend to him, and in the end, he will know what he wants.

Best wishes to you.
Martha
