What if I'm alone for Valentine's Day?

Hope Answers:

What should you do if you are alone for valentine's Day?

One thought for those who are spending the day without that "special someone." In the Bible, God tells us that He loves us so much that he sent His only son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that we can spend eternity in heaven with Him. Do you know that He knows you intimately? He is always present with you, wherever you go, and is waiting to show you His great love for you.

The Bible also states that God knew you even before He created you in your mother's womb, and He even knows the number of hairs on your head! If He knows that kind of detail about your life, He surely has a plan to bless you. So realize that you are not really alone this Valentine's Day. Reach out to God and let Him shower you with His love!

You're right, my favorite Valentine's Day surprise was from my grandfather.

Also remember that Valentine's Day is not just for "lovers." It is a reminder to love those around us the way God loves us. Take this opportunity to reach out to someone you know who may be lonely too or who may need some companionship or support.

Dedicate the day to be a blessing to your friends and family by bringing them special treats or treating your parents to a nice dinner.

Or visit a friend who could use some encouragement. It's amazing how focusing outwardly instead of focusing on our own pain and emptiness can completely change your outlook. This may sound idealistic, but trust me, it works... Try it.
