Over-Hyped Holiday
How important is VD?
Valentines Day is an over-hyped holiday. It ranks up there with
Christmas. Flower companies, candy companies, and Weight Watchers
must love this day, and the day after, respectively.
If you have someone
that you're interested in dating, every day that you're with them
is like Valentines Day; a special day. If you have a significant
other, then there are many days that are special to be with them;
birthdays, holidays, vacations, etc.
I do not see why it is
important to try to make reservations at a crowded restaurant to
celebrate the business of the holiday for someone else – it
seems a little too artificial and forced for me.
My
Sister Married on Valentine's Day
This is not a memorable
day for me, except for one little thing. My sister decided to get
married on Valentines Day. The reason? So that her husband would
always remember their anniversary. And so do I.
