Dear Panel,

Every time I go to a disco and try to flirt with a girl I get ignored or outright rejected. I can't understand it. I'm good-looking by all accounts, address them in a pleasant manner with a smile, but to no avail.

Disco girls, especially the prettier ones, are such stuck-up bitches - forgive me ladies. It's like all we guys have been collectively branded as wanting nothing more than to get them into bed and as such, deserve such undiscerning, cruel treatment.

What is it about discos in particular that makes for this kind of situation and resulting outcome? What can I say or do to be given at least half a chance or even miraculously succeed?
