Here's how I see it: from what you described, it definitely sounds
like he is sneaking around.
Even if he isn't and there is some other explanation for hanging
up on you and standing you up, why would you want to date someone
who treats you that way? If he can't take the initiative to call
you, and won't even speak to you when you call him, then he is clearly
not interested in you or simply does not have the character or maturity
to be in a committed relationship.

Settle If He Doesn't Show You Respect
Dating takes effort. If he is "relationship material," then he
will want to spend time with you to get to know who you are. He
will make an effort to treat you with respect and admiration. Don't
settle for anything less!! (And be thankful that you saw the warning
signs now!)
