My friend was raped, but she's acting happy. How can I help?

Get Help for Yourself

I DO recommend that you go to adult for yourself, to help YOU deal with the situation. It would probably greatly benefit you to deal with your own emotions and difficulties with this issue, because of how much you love your friend.

Don't Betray Her Trust

I would also suggest that you not mention names, that you not divulge the confidences that your friend has told you. I believe that you can love her, support her and still make it known that this is something that will affect her life in tremendous ways if she doesn't deal with it WITHOUT betraying her trust.
