Dear Natasha,
First of all, I think
it's crazy that our culture puts such a premium on skinny women.
I am tired of looking at all the anorexic models who are surrounding
me in every media. I have to grab Mode Magazine just to look at
some normal women in print. But that's what our culture is serving
up to us right now, and most of my friends do prefer the starvation
look in women.
Talk
to Him
You are intimate enough
with your boyfriend to have sex with him, yet you are only "guessing"
that your weight is the reason why he doesn't want to have sex with
you now. Why don't you find out? Ask him! Talk to him!
If your boyfriend is
concerned about you, perhaps you can work this out. Maybe it isn't
even about your weight. Maybe it's something more important. Um,
never mind that, let's stick with the weight thing.
If it IS about your weight,
and you really DO want to lose weight, maybe your boyfriend can
help you with that. Perhaps joining you in an exercise program,
or an eating program. Talk with him and see if you can get something
like that going.
There's the old saying
that "love is blind". Well, it might not be totally blind. Speaking
of Mode Magazine, maybe you can pick up some sexy outfits for the
full-bodied woman and start his little spark going. If you both
care for each other, you should be able to work things out. But
you have to start somewhere.
