Should I give him yet another chance?

Steve said:

...I reacted at the opposite end of the spectrum: career over relationship, and so I started to close myself off. I felt a bit suffocated by it all...

A Reader Responds:

Steve, be proud of yourself. You are a med student; this is an amazing accomplishment.

You Are the "Be All End All"

You are correct in putting your career goals first. You ARE the 'be all end all.' Don't let anyone make you feel that you are being selfish. Med school is one of – if not the most – challenging educations on the planet. A real woman would respect this.

Your Qualities Are Rare

You are a great catch. Not just because of the prestige or financial independence that you will experience someday, but because you are a winner. You are motivated, intelligent, and focused. These are extremely rare qualities, trust me. Steve, you are only 23, and your life is just starting, honey. What an amazing note for you to start on!

You'll Meet the "Real Woman"

You will meet this 'real woman' that I speak of someday, (probably when your studies are over), and you will shine. For now, focus on achieving good marks in school, as you have, and develop your compassion and intuition. You will make a terrific doctor some day.

Good luck Steve, and remember what I said:

You ARE the be all end all!

Happy successful medical professional and real woman
