It's a Huge Age Difference

You're right, but if she waits 'til she's legal, the difference between 18 and 24 isn't that bad.

There is a huge age difference between 14 and 20. Things would be sure to move pretty fast with him, which I don't think is ideal for any relationship to develop.

I also think that your questions about what other people would think (particularly your parents) are valid ones. There is a good reason that people would be concerned, so I think it's best that you stuck with your instincts and stopped things before they developed any further.
