Dear Brant,

Welcome to the real life world of uneven romance. You love too much, she still loves her ex. If you loved her too little, she might be crawling all over you. Such is the unfairness of life in the fast-lane of young romance. No one said this love stuff was going to be easy, right?

Right.

You Sound Superficial

It sounds to me like he IS broadening his taste in women.

Forgive me, but for a 25 year old who thinks he is intelligent and sensitive, you are not showing too many examples of either of these traits in this situation. After all, you say you are not attracted to even slightly overweight woman. You may be ruling out some pretty incredible partners from your life.

You talk about a woman's breasts like they were some gymnasium apparatus..something for you to size up and play with. Hopefully this is simply a sign of you being in your mid-twenties and these viewpoints will not carry with you throughout your life. If they do, you are determined to have some pretty shallow relationships with women.

Just because lots of people do it, it's not OK. An office romance is a no no.

You work with this woman. These office situations can often get messy for many reasons, but...there are plenty of people finding romance at work. You're not the first and you won't be the last. The tough part is when things do not go well, for one reason or another, and you still have to pass each other in the hallway without flinching.

You might want to consider exercising some understanding and restraint rather than jealousy. She is still hung up on her old boyfriend. Let her work it out. Don't pressure her.

If you and this 19 year old nymphet with the ample chest are meant to be, she will be knocking at your door.

If not, you might want to think twice about pouring your energy into a love that can't be and consider looking for someone (yes, even slightly overweight possibitiies) who are in a position to return your affection.
