How and when do I initiate sex?

Answers:

Dear Worried,

You Are Not Ready

Your boyfriend sounds like he's a decent guy for trying to let you make the first move but it sounds like you aren't actually ready to do so.

While many guys would love to be the first to a virgin, a lot also have apprehension because it can be a big responsibility as well. A whole new flood of emotions can develop for a virgin female having sex with a non-virgin male.

Don't give it up too quick, but if in fact, you are really ready for this, talk to him about it. While spontaneity is nice, you have to do some planning to make sure you are prepared, i.e. have condoms ready, etc.

I agree. As I said before: it's important that BOTH people are ready & want it.

I think it is very important that you are confident when you decide the time is right and you should definitely initiate the move. Otherwise you might feel later that you were pressured and resent him for it.

He seems like he is respecting your inexperience, but if you want to be his equal and not his project, you need to build up a little confidence and let him know what you want.

But Wait... There's More

Reader Ricky I agree because the most important is the communication.

Laying flat on your back isn't going to make him feel that you are enjoying the intimacy as much as he is. Be bold and don't always wait for the first kiss. Chances are, if he cares about you as you say he does, anytime will be the right time.
