Can a guy be cured of his chronic 'checking out' of other women?

This is something I did not notice much until about 8 months with my boyfriend. He stares and will even occasionally turn his head if a reasonably attractive woman passes by.

I feel insulted and think it's disrespectful to both me and them. This has never happened to me before.

A friend of mine said that her boyfriend did that because he was single for so long but stopped when they got married. But my guy was married for 17 years and divorced now for 7, and I'm worried it's just his habit.

He's a nice guy otherwise. How do I bring this up?
