say Bob tells you he will never hurt you. Guess what? He's already broken a promise.
If you stay with him, I have no doubt you'll be experiencing more of the same. A
man once told me to never trust a man who said "Trust me." To my way
of thinking, telling someone that you will never hurt them is also a promise that
you can never keep. No one can ever know that or promise not to hurt you. Life
happens...misunderstandings happen, emotions happen. You can't always control
that. However,
the bigger issue here is to ask yourself WHY you would even consider staying with
a guy who has hit on one of your friends? It shows that he has no respect for
women, for one, and more importantly no respect for you. You
want to confront him...but perhaps your expectations of doing so may be a little
bit high. A man who will lie to you and hit on your friend, in my opinion, is
not someone who is worth your time. You are better off writing HIM off now. More
importantly, remember that you deserve more than that from a guy and don't settle
for someone who's already proven himself untrustworthy. -
