Dear Panel,
I am a 24-year-old-male. Generally a very sociable,
honest and nice guy.
Girlfriend is a 20 year old. I'm her second serious
boyfriend. Very loyal, trustworthy and 1000 miles away. Don't
know what I mean to her right now.
I've been dating my girlfriend who I met in University
for 6 mo. I had to move away for summer and only saw her once
in May.
I was very bored to where I moved to and recently
had a secret admirer. I met her for fun and we got along. I being
a male was very horny after 2+months away slept with her once.
Since I'll be leaving in a month there's not much
point in dating the new girl and it was more of a lust/attraction
thing than any serious relationship. I plan to tell the new girl
that we need to cool it and just stay friends.
I don't think I'd ever do it again because I realised
how much I love my girlfriend after.
I know there is no way for my girlfriend to find
out except through me.
I realised I made a mistake and I'm not dwelling
on it or losing sleep and although feeling guilty I've resolved
to let that go if I stay faithful from now on.
Should I tell her when it won't do any good?
