Dear bb,

Marriage Doesn't Improve Someone

I hope you're not one of those people who believe that marriage will change someone to the "good". Because if you are, there is a surprise waiting for you.

Is The Pain Worth It?

Listen, no one else can make the decision for you of whether to marry your boyfriend. The panelists have discussed before the problems with deciding to break up, and I usually boil it down to whether the pain involved in staying is greater than the pain involved in leaving. But you have to make that decision for yourself.

YOU Propose

OK, if you do make the decision that you really want to marry your boyfriend, then don't let that nonsense about not having enough money for the ring be a deterrent. Or figuring out how to make him ask you.

Sheesh.

Typical male answer! It has nothing to do with WHO does the proposing. This guy is just not motivated to make a commitment.

If you want to get married, just propose to him. You won't get arrested for it, and it will be just as romantic to tell your children. Oh, and you might want to think about what you'll do if he says no.
