Dear RC,

Cartoon Advice

I once received a cartoon in my e-mail of a skeleton in a pretty blue dress sitting on a park bench. There were cobwebs, spiders and birds picking at it. The caption in the cartoon read, "A woman waiting for the perfect man."

Rule number one: Don't become this woman.

Love Will Find You

True, there's nothing wrong with dating, but maybe she does need to analyze.

Women have a habit of over-analyzing things. You don't have to see every guy you date as a potential husband. I know it sounds corny, but it's true when people say, "love finds you when you're not looking." Just sit back, observe and learn from everything you see and hear.

Keep Trying Like He Does

You said the guy you're seeing wants to continue dating to see if things work out. You need to be more like him. When a man likes the woman he's dating he makes moves, when he doesn't like the woman he's dating he ends it. Sometimes this may be harsh, but its practical. So you need to think the same way.

Equal Effort

Why waste her time on a 10% relationship? If the spark isn't there, she should just leave.

If he's putting in 10%, you should put in 10%. Yes, people may disagree with this, but do you think it's equal when you're thinking marriage, and he's still thinking about going to the movies and dinner this weekend?

Just Relax!

If he's not worried then why should you be? Just Relax! If you are most certain he's not the type of man with whom you want to remain in an exclusive relationship, then end it. It's as simple as that. Don't lose any sleep. Just remember: there are over a billion guys on this earth. Trust me, men are not going anywhere.

Sincerely,

Mar
