Hormones? Parents?

Those darn boys, running around with all those hormones! They should all be put in jail. But waitaminit! I thought girls were trained in this?! Aren't all girls diligently trained by their overly strict parents to protect themselves from sex-crazed teenage boys?

That Big Little Word

Yes, it's true that many, many, many boys are looking for sexual favors. Maybe that's why some girls date older men--naaaah, that wouldn't help. But you know what? None of the girls I went out with ever had a problem with that little word, "No". And when that's said, then boundaries are defined.

The Vast Majority

The vast majority of "normal" males are probably going to be interested in getting females into sexual encounters. Indeed, that is one aspect of a relationship. But you're entirely correct that at many times and stages of a relationship, going to bed with someone is not appropriate.

What Do You Do When They Cross the Line?

What happens between you and the "supposedly" nice guys? If they try to take the relationship further than you would like, do you immediately boot them? Or do you just say "no"? Do the boys split, or are they fine with your boundaries?

Learn About Boundaries

In our culture, the female tends to set those sexual boundaries. Say no, set your boundaries with the guys, and if they don't agree, then boot them. I think many guys will agree to get to know you without going to bed first.
