Statutory Rape

Okay, first of all, no it is not illegal to just SEE someone over the age of 18 if you are under the age of 18. Any sexual activity, however, is considered an offence called statutory rape.

I totally agree. Girls that age aren't old enough to date.

I would stay as far away from that as possible if I were you; it can get very messy in court.

I'm 15, I have a toddler, and I can handle a 20 year old man.

However, there is a huge age gap between 15 and 19.

Maturity Gap

I agree; I went out with someone five years older than me when I was 15 and it just does not work out.

There is also a huge maturity gap and excpectation gap.

Stick to Guys Your Age

I disagree. The size of the gap depends on her maturity and the 19 year old.

Maybe Jean doesn't want a physical relationship right now – but who says that isn't going to change after you two have been seeing each other for a few months? 19 year olds expect different things from relationships than 15 year olds do.

I disagree.She may be more mature for her age.

If I were you, I would stick to 15-17 year olds.

Love at First Sight?

One point though, going back to something you mentioned in your question:

Love at first sight does not exist. I think the word you were looking for and totally missed was lust – yes, there is LUST at first sight – but you don't fall in love with what you see, you fall in love with what you know. And "at first sight" doesn't exactly pertain to any great knowledge of anything. I would suggest seeing him a few more months before you even suspect you love him.

But after all, that is only my opinion.
