Don't Waste Your Breath

If you have tried talking to her about her friend and it's not working, then stop wasting your breath. No matter what you tell her, it will always be etched in the back of her mind of what her friend tells her.

There's a 3rd option: confront the guy.

You have two options available to you:

1. You can move on to someone else who doesnt have a friend telling lies about you
   
   
2. You can try to prove her friends lies wrong, which will be hard to do.

He'll Always Be Her Friend

No matter which option you choose, please keep in mind that he was her friend before she met you and will be after you are out of the picture. If he is telling her the lies so that he can be with her, she will not see it that way. She will see it as a good friend giving her advice. Dont give her a choice of him or me, she will always go with her friend first. She has known him a lot longer than you.

Show Her You're Better Than He Is

If you really like this girl and want to work things out with her, just try to ignore her friend's lies (hard cuz they are about you) and try to show her that you can be better than her friend. Which ever way you decided to go, I wish you the best of luck.
