I disagree because being in a mixed-race relationship, especially with whites, is a no-go.

That is absolutely not true!

Most whites are racist when it comes to approving their children dating/marrying non-whites, hence I do not think there is much here to hang miserable's hat on.

I would suggest that miserable work her way out of this relationship as gently as possible and find someone she can really relate to.

There is really no future in a white-nonwhite relationship. There are many many desirable people in the world that are not white.
