Am I good enough for their son?

Dear Panel,

I've been dating my boyfriend for about 5 months. We are in a serious relationship. We both go to school together.

My dad is mulatto and my mother is Hispanic. My boyfriend is White. This is not a problem for either of us.

My parents love my boyfriend.

The problem is that I suspect his parents dislike me. I confronted him about it today, and sure enough, they do not approve of our relationship. He told me that he didn't want me to know because he didn't want me to feel bad about it.

Survivor I can really empathize – my parents rejected my first wife.

He's been going through a tough time, and I feel miserable.

His Parents Treat Me Nicely

I've met his parents before, and they were very nice to me, but I feel horrible for my boyfriend because he has to deal with this, and I feel terrible because they don't think I am good enough for their son.

What can/should I do?

– Miserable
