Dear Confused,
Physical
Attraction Is Not Enough
NO, it's absolutely not
true. There is so much more to a good relationship than a strong
physical attraction. It can help initially, but in the long run,
the things that matter are a lot deeper: your common interests,
the way he treats you, the way you feel when you are around him,
and most
importantly, the way you feel about HIM.
When
Looks Vanish
Ask yourself this question:
If your partner was involved in a serious accident involving fire
and was left with serious third degree burns that would scar him
for the rest of his life, would you love him any less? Do you like
being around HIM, or just his face?
You
Followed Your Heart
Yes, it's true that there
must be some form of physical attraction, but from your question,
you sound like you don't believe he's unattractive, he's just not
the type of person you would usually date. You're already on the
right track you've stayed true to your heart and you're still
with him even though he isn't your usual "type".
Sit down and really think
over what the relationship means to YOU, not to other people, and
I think that you'll be able to answer your own question.
Good luck!
