Never Bad-Mouth Your Boyfriend's Parents
One HUGE piece of advice: never, ever, under ANY circumstances
bad mouth your boyfriend's parents. You now have learned that the
hard way but never, ever do it again.
Men Are Babies
Your boyfriend probably just told his parents this to show his
parents "Hey look, even my girl thinks you're crazy, I'm not
the only one." But one day he might switch it on you and blame
you for saying such words. Men are babies when it comes to their
parents!!!
This Could Be the Big Test
If you do break up over this, then he wasn't the one, but if you
stick it out together through the hard times then this one is going
last. We all go through some testing periods in our relationships.
Some go through different trials but this is your trial at the moment.
Take it as a lesson because even though it doesn't seem like it
now, you might actually have a stronger relationship after this
has all blown over.
Smooth It Over
If you feel really badly about what you have said about his parents,
even though it is true, express these feelings toward your boyfriend
and maybe a phone call to his parents might help. Telling them that
it hurt you to see your boyfriend so upset because you care for
him deeply, but that you realize now that you shouldn't have made
a comment like that. Smooth it over with nice words even if they
aren't from your heart.
