What is statutory rape, and why?

I agree with a lot that you have said. I for one think it is wrong but in some ways it does protect people.

However, the minority is negatively affected by this law. For those who are mature enough to handle this, we don't need someone to get into our private business.

I also thought our parents had the final say on minors. I was wondering as a minor what I could do to fight this or help get a solution. We could all complain or take action.
