Dear "Confused & Angry" and "Equally Confused & Angry",

You'll Never Trust Again

Both sides cheated on the other, more or less, as a "get back." Hard to put that stuff behind you as it concerns basic boundaries of trust, and once stepped over one might never be able to return. Sad but true.

Get Professional Counseling

Why bother with counseling? They should just break up.

Don't know that I could trust the other person after this kind of deal, but if you both love each other like your letter says, you both might seek professional marriage counseling, both as singles and as a couple.

Move On If It's Too Much

If it doesn't work, or the hurt is too great, gather your stuff and move on. Either way seek help.
