Dear Panel,

My girlfriend recently told me that she felt she has been missing out on doing things that she feels she should. We've been going out for 9 months and I'm 18 and she 15. I'm just under 3 years older than her.

She said that she wished she had met me 6 years, or even a year, after she did. That way she could have had some meaningless relationships.

She said that our relationship is too good and that at her age she isn't meant to be in love.

I could understand that, but then she said she felt that she was too happy and girls of her age are meant to get hurt by boyfriends. I really can't understand this because she actually wants to have bad relationships! Why does she when she admits that's I'm really good to her?

She said she wished that we could split up for a few months whilst she had some flings with other boys. I can't do this because I would be so hurt I wouldn't be able to take her back.

She says she loves me and I believe her but I feel so shaken up by this, am I being selfish? I'm so confused and hurt, I need help.
