Dear Panel,

I work in an office, my husband works in construction. I am considering a position in inside sales.

I went to lunch with the hiring manager and my husband thinks it was inappropriate. He's not familiar with the business world and doesn't understand that this is totally normal.

He knows he is wrong for feeling insecure about me working with men, and going out to lunch, but can't help being bothered by it. He also thinks most husbands would feel the same. Do they? I don't think so.
