Dear Panel,

I just turned 18 yesterday and I am a High school senior in track.

Dave is 38 he's a wonderful person, understanding who I have known for a rather long period time

Okay Dave and I have had a joke that started my freshmen year of high school when he became a volunteer coach for my track team but I had known him before that. The joke was when I turned 18 we'd "get the hook-up".

Well I just turned 18 but lately before yesterday (my birthday) it has become less of a joke and more realistic. Is it wrong for me to like him and vice versa?

But seeing as how it's my senior year of track WE both care more about my track season than whether there would be a relationship. He's not my event coach, but he's always been there for me (not fatherly been there) but there has always been something special there. Is it wrong to pursue something after I graduate this spring?
