Wow...intense situation...this is one I can honestly say I have
never had to deal with.
What's Best for Baby
Let's see: you two have a one year old together– a baby in
a situation always comes first. So, the first thing that you have
to do is think about what is best for your baby. If you two get
back together, will you have a
Beaver Cleaver family? Most likely not – so if that is
the reason you want to get back together, forget it.
On the other hand, if you think that you two can work through your
problems, remain together and still remain a positive influence
for your baby, then I say give it a try.
Don't Let His Mom Get in the Way
One problem, right? His dear old mom. Well, dear old mom is going
to have to learn to mind her own business. You two need to do what
you two want – she is not your keeper (unless she is supporting
you). Try not to let his mom get in the way. I know that may seem
difficult, but if you TRULY think things can work out for you two,
forget his mom, and try. Don't live with any regrets.
