This is a great question, and like all great questions, it has
the same answer: it depends.
My Regrets
Okay, here's my story. I was Joe Serious in college. I went from
one serious girlfriend (from high school) to another (who I eventually
married 1 year after college). Boy, do I have regrets! We got divorced
the next year!
I never really got the chance to experience a range of different
relationships. I never let myself be free of the give and take,
push and pull of relating. I also gave up parts in two plays because
my girlfriend wanted to go home early for Christmas break.
Less Seriousness, More Fun
I believe that if I had less serious commitments and more fun,
then I might be a happier man than I am today. That's the truth.
