He’s Sexy, a grunger and cute with spiky hair and he’s let me down twice

It started last summer I just met him and he goes to my school. We were going to go out but 2 days later, he went out with some other girl. He was last week going out with this psycho who tried to commit suicide a year ago and he didn't know. She was always depressed and never spoke to him. So Sexy dumped her.

He’s got a friend and I got him to ask Sexy what he thinks of me. He said he wanks over me. Is that good? And then the next night Sexy’s friend asked him if he would ever go out with me. As if it was for his own knowledge. Sexy said “yes”. Sexy’s friend told me and I was really happy.

The next day I text Sexy and told him how I felt and that I have done for ages. He said he’s felt the same way and will go out with me eventually, but we should leave it for a while because of that psycho who also goes to my school. He’s worried that she might do something stupid.

But how long is a while? You know I’ve liked him for ages. He’s kind, sweet, cute, and got the best personality, and I can get on with him really well. But is he worth waiting for especially when I don’t know how long a while is?

Should I wait? What will people think?
