Are you back? OK, now I'll tell you why you had to cancel the wedding.

But this doesn't apply here. In this case, SHE is the problem.

Every day here at Love and Learn we get letters from tormented souls who are unhappy in their marriages. They never really loved the person they married. They don't know why they got married. They got married too soon. Now they've met someone they really love and they're miserable. Now they've got kids and they can't get out of the marriage. And so on and so on.

Prevent the Torment

This is my chance to prevent at least one of you from suffering the same fate.

To you and everyone who reads this:

• Don't get married to someone you are unsure about.
• Don't get married to someone you don't love.
• Don't get married to someone who has been unkind, mean, or abusive to you.
• Don't get married until you are ready to get married.

There Are No Rules

What's the hurry? These days, you can go out with someone for a long time before getting married. You can live together, even have kids if you choose. There are no more dumb rules about having to be married by a certain age. Take your time and make sure you've got the right person.
