He's probably not a pedophile, but if he is, Sarah would be justified
in leaving the relationship.
Luthien is right; don't jump to the conclusion that the boyfriend
is a deviant. That would be rather unlikely.
So please read the rest of this response with that in mind.
In the unlikely event that it turns out he actually is a
pedophile, why on earth should Sarah stay with him?
"Stand by your man" is a romantic notion, but in reality,
it benefits no one. Sarah deserves to be with someone emotionally
healthy, and she has no obligation to him (other than to get him
into therapy).
If Sarah left, that negative consequence of his behavior would
hopefully give him a push to get himself some help.
Let's not get too carried away with the idea that love will conquer
all. People still need to make rational decisions to take care of
themselves and others.
