You hit the nail right on the head. There is no real evidence of wrong-thinking and everything is probably just fine.

Except for one thing...

We agree it's probably innocent, but we disagree on the need for proactive therapy for everything.

Oh, gosh. Therapy isn't universal!.

If you trip on the sidewalk, do you seek a therapist? How much therapy does one adult human need? We can't condone that much complete dependence on a third party to facilitate a two-way conversation. Learn to walk on your own and you won't have to constantly hold on to Mommy's hands.

Every couple does not proactively need a therapist! Couples should learn to communicate effectively on their own, not start out with a crutch!

Jennae, what is there in your relationship that you can't handle on your own? Having to involve a counselor ten times before you get married indicates to us you have significant trust issues.

We agree that therapy is a wonderful resource, and when used properly, can really help relationships. We also agree that every couple should go through the pre-marital counseling most churches provide.

Let's not forget that 15 months is really not that long for a relationship and they are still very young.
