Do we confront my spying mother-in-law?

Mr. SensitiveMr. Sensitive asks:

How did you find the emails that your mother-in-law sent to others?

"Confused In Texas" answers:

Dear Mr. Sensitive,

My Daughter Found a Folder of Email Print-outs

To answer your first question regarding how the e-mails were found, my in-laws went out of town and they asked if we would feed their cats, fish etc. My daughter Hailey is the one that found the e-mails. Apparently they were in a folder on her desk. For whatever reason, she copied each e-mail and kept it in a folder containing various other things (i.e. dates, times and callers from my work voicemail).

Mr. SensitiveMr. Sensitive asks:

How did your mother-in-law get into your voicemail?

My Password Is the Same as My Extension Number

This brings me to your second question. My mother-in-law worked at the same hospital I currently work in. Each employee has the same voicemail system and it is set up the same way. You call into the system and put your extension and then password. When the system is set up it automatically makes your password the same as your extension. I never changed my password because I did not expect someone to violate my privacy. Many, many employees keep the password the same as their extension.

Thanks for your consideration and advice.
