Your innocent act is crap.

A Reader Responds:

The girl is young, dealing with new feelings, and really inexperienced. So she screwed up. Who doesn't? But keep in mind that she never set out to hurt Hector. She just didn't know what to do.

She Liked Him A Lot As A Friend

I mean, when Hector professed his love to her, she obviously wasn't ready for a romantic relationship with him, but liked him tons as a friend.

Everyone knows that dating can spoil some really great friendships (not all of them, but...) She didn't handle the situation well, but there is no good solution for this one. She couldn't MAKE herself love him enough to date him.

I'm Surprised By Your Hostility

Props for telling her to move on, but I was surprised at the way you said it. Just remember, the girl's just out of high school. She's already learning a lesson from the way Hector treated her, and I think she understands that she got what she deserves.

Why all the hostility? She's just a kid!
